Grain Max 10 & 12
Grain-Max 10 & 12 are economical, high quality oat and corn “All Grain” sweet feeds, formulated to supply either 10% or 12% protein plus necessary energy to meet growing and mature horses’ nutrient needs for growth, maintenance and conditioning.
Grain-Max 10 and 12 are ideal as the grain supplement to forage based diets for mature horses at maintenance and light to medium work.
Grain-Max 12 is formulated with the same high quality grain “base” as Grain-Max 10, with increased soybean meal to provide additional quality protein.
FEEDING
- Grain-Max 10 and 12 are designed to be fed with good hay and/or pasture.
- Do not feed free choice.
- In general, feed grain concentrates at approximately 1% of body weight daily (1 pound per 100 pounds of body weight) while providing 1% BW in quality forage.
- The amount of grain feed needed will depend on many factors, including the quality of forage, age of the horse and the amount of exercise the horse receives.
