Eco Phos
Lakeland Animal Nutrition is dedicated to serving the Florida Cattleman and providing the products that work and are cost effective. In an effort to provide you with effective and profitable mineral solutions even in these challenging times, Lakeland Animal Nutrition has developed alternative PDQ formulations - designated as eco phos formulations.
These PDQ formulas are based on proven existing products with lower yet effective phosphorus concentrations and a traditional salt based design for free choice feeding functionality. These products focus on maximizing phosphorus from forages while supplying the essential trace minerals necessary for productivity. In many situations, because of improved fertilization and grazing management practices, P levels can be found to be adequate and at levels that maintain performance and in the end, profitability.

- PDQ eco phos 7
PDQ Range, A-plus, Breeder and 7 and will continue to be available in their current formulations. These new formulations are not replacing any of the existing PDQ products and are offered as options only.
PDQ’s eco phos formulas are traditional salt based mineral supplements designed to give the producer an effective and profitable option to supply essential trace minerals and vitamins without the added expense of high phosphorus levels in a supplement.
Featuring the same great trace mineral profile and ingredients found in all PDQ products, new eco phos mineral supplements contain effective bio-available ingredients from Alltech®. BioPlex® organic sources of cobalt, copper, manganese and zinc are balanced with effective inorganic sources. And, as with all PDQ Selenium Max formulas, eco phos contains Sel Plex® organic selenium from selenium yeast for maximum selenium uptake and absorption necessary for maintained immune status and reproductive performance.
eco phos formulations is a new tool in your integrated nutrient management program tacking into account nutrients from all available sources. These supplements are effective options that allow you to target and utilize phosphorus from forages and still be able supply a supplement designed to meet the necessary trace mineral and vitamin needs of the productive Florida cow herd.
In many situations, phosphorus levels in forages are found to be adequate for optimum animal performance. This is due primarily to improved forage species, fertilization and grazing management throughout the years. Through timely forage tissue testing, pastures with adequate P levels can be identified and managed, grazing cattle without the need for additional phosphorus . This can allow for a lower phosphorus supplement to be effectively offered while maintaining optimal herd performance and profitability.
